Concordia's Wireless Network

Concordia University provides 802.11n compatible wireless networking for all of its currently registered students, active faculty, and active staff. Guest wireless accounts may be granted (for a small fee) to visitors who are unable to connect via the Eduroam network.  To place a request for a guest wireless account click here

Note: If you reached this page by connecting to the wireless network SSID 'ConcordiaWirelessInfo' you will only be able to browse through this website. After properly configuring your device using the instructions found below, you will be able to connect to the wireless network SSID 'ConcordiaUniversity' and access all websites. 

Configuring your laptop for wireless access

Note: IITS is unable to provide specific instructions for devices not listed above.  * In addition, the IITS Helpline and Services Areas are unable to provide official support for devices running Android, Linux and Unix platforms. To aid in the setup, please refer to Concordia's wireless authentication protocol, listed below.

AES or TKIP (AES is preferred) with WPA2 Authentication, TKIP with WPA Authentication.

Although 802.11n technology is backward compatible with 802.11b,g,a, certain older legacy wireless adapters will require a firmware upgrade and driver update. Also, please note that some wireless adapters (produced before 2004) may need to be replaced.

Clearing your computer's cache (Windows only)

When you successfully log on to a wireless or wired network that uses Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP) authentication, your credentials are automatically stored in the computer for reuse. This may sometimes interfere with your computer's ability to accept new credentials.  To clear the cache, please visit the following Microsoft Support Page.
